City Life and Moving

I grew up in suburbia, just like so many. And it was really boring. Of course by high school things got more fun but that’s because I had the wheels to get up and get around town, see friends, play video games, watch movies… can you guess my gender yet? But for college I fell into a slight change of pace. The type of town wasn’t really my primary criteria, it just so happened that the school I fell in love with (after a little adjustment period) was in the boonies. It was pretty isolated. The pizza was great, but besides hanging out in dorm rooms and student clubs there wasn’t a lot going on. Can you guess where I am now? There are dances in the parks, fireworks over the lakeshore, Michigan avenue is decked out in pine needles and bright lights for Christmas… Chicago is great—cold—but great. The only real complaint I had was that I didn’t get a moving company Chicago. Believe it or not, small city streets and crowded allies aren’t great for moving vans or your uncle’s truck. Finding parking in range of moving, with enough people to keep the doors open and navigate the halls without scuffing everything up is difficult. But, apparently, getting a professional operation involved makes it easy. Something to think about. The city isn’t for everyone, but everyone should experience it once in a while. Just make sure that when you do, you have a plan for getting your stuff in and out. And a plan that does it for a living may be the way to go.
